See Regular Versions of Websites With a Phone

When using a smart phone to browse the web such as an iPhone, or HTC Desire S, you will usually either be using an app to access particular high traffic web sites, or you will be redirected to a mobile version. Usually the mobile versions of the site are just optimized for the small screen, but occasionally they lack certain features that you really need to access. This article will discuss how to view the full website that you would normally see on your computer’s browser.

The first thing you can check, is if your web browser has a setting to default to full sites. For instance, the popular iPhone browser Safari does not. So when you load up the web site, you should first make sure you are the main page. Use your touchscreen and scroll down to the very bottom of it. You may want to zoom in on the text, because it’s generally very small. Search the page’s bottom for a link that says something like, “View full site.” After clicking it you will be brought to the normal version. Some websites offer to store this option in your phone’s cache, remembering your choice for next time.
