Many people may be shocked to learn that the United States doesn’t even crack the top ten when it comes to internet and mobile speeds. The country with the fastest mobile network is Japan, with 58 percent of its connections above 5mbps. Canada even has a faster on average mobile connection than that of the United States.

Of the fastest 100 cities in the world, only 8 cities from the United States made the list, with Riverside, California being number 1 in the United States, but number 77 in the entire world. It is clear that the cities of the United States have a long way to go to catch up with other countries of the world when it comes to fast mobile speeds.

Although 4g networks have begun to roll out in most major cities, users are not getting anywhere near the speeds that the networks are capable of achieving. When consumers find out that they are paying more than people in other countries for speeds that are much less, they are rightfully upset with the revelation.

Just last year in 2010 it was Atlanta that had the fastest mobile speed in the United States, not the city of Riverside, California.Related Article : Deindustrialization of the United States – -SHOCKING!! (via Lorinov’s Blog)
